MISSIONS MINISTRY

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."

Matthew 28:19

Global Misisons

Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine
Sergei Lesnik
UCSA (Ukraine Christian Sports Academy)/Mission Together with Sergei and Elina Lesnik, CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) Athletes in Action with Andrey and Julia Sheplenko. We have reported regularly regarding the resilience and courage of these
ministries as they support the people of Ukraine in their race for survival against the tyranny of the Russian dictatorship. The new Hanson Village in Kyiv houses hundreds of war refugees; Elina ministers to hundreds of women around the country with Bible / prayer groups, and has published her 3 rd book, “My Broken World”; both ministries distribute care packages including food to soldiers and others in need.
New Hope Bible College
Chungarthara, India (in the southwestern province of Kerala)
Pastor John George
With the leadership of Pastor John George and others, the NHBC is thriving and graduating Christian leaders and pastors to spread the Gospel of Christ in a country hostile to this message. John and Saramma continue to spend much of the year in Kerala, assisting the Bible College. The college will celebrate their 24th commencement Service in Feb 2026 as about 30 graduates plant new Christian churches throughout all of India.
Live Beyond
Thomazeau, Haiti; Israel and beyond including India, Mozambique, Ghana, and Honduras
Dr. David Vanderpool

By healing the sick, educating the next generation, providing nutrition to the poor, and spreading the message of Jesus, Live Beyond is changing lives for eternity. Through holistic transformation—body, mind, and spirit —they are seeing communities flourish and faith grow in some of the most challenging environments on earth. In Israel, the Christian school and care center in the West Bank is stable and having a positive
influence there.
Joshua Fund
Joel Rosenberg
Founded and operated by Joel Rosenberg, the Joshua Fund uses an
evangelical approach to provide food and medical services to the Jewish and Arab
people. Both the Old and New Testament remind us that the Christian church was
grafted into the covenant promises to Israel and thus share in Israel’s spiritual
blessings; the Word teaches us that God will bless those who bless Israel.
Families Set Free
Mike Brickley
A nonprofit led by Mike Brickley, Families Set Free works to free slaves
from Pakistani brick kilns (60% of whom are Christians). See Elaine Lovelace for more
information.

National Missions

The Navigators
Led by Jared and Tiana Parnell, Georgia Tech University, we are excited to
support our first college mission group, as we invest in the spiritual health of our young
adults who are so often pulled away from their faith by the teachings of the world.

Local Missions

Tennessee Action Council
TAC has two mission fields both supporting the life of children in
need: “Project Life” and “Helping Hands”. Through Project Life, mobile ultrasound units demonstrate to expecting mothers how precious life is (Ps 139:13-14, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Therefore, I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”). Through Helping Hands, foster children are equipped with personal duffle bags rather than garbage bags to carry their belongings, thereby elevating their self-worth; thanks to Crosswalk support, over 5000 duffle bags were delivered this year! TAC organized two record-breaking fundraisers again this year, a golf fundraiser in Franklin for Project Life and their annual dinner/program at Old Natchez
Country Club supporting Helping Hands. (Service Opportunity).
First Priority
Nashville, TN
Led by Steve Cherrico, this ministry empowers hundreds of local
middle and high school students to organize and lead Christian support groups within their own schools. This ministry is vital to raising up a new generation of young adults who are not ashamed of their faith and who will continue to spread the Gospel as adults. Few ministries have had such an impact: 1,500+ local students participating in weekly FP Clubs, 280 student leaders trained during the school year on how to share their hope in Christ, 204 students have made decisions for Christ…inside public schools. (Service Opportunity).
Cecil Ministries
Nashville, TN
Chris Cecil, who has an amazing heart for Muslims, ministers to this unique population in our area, providing them with not only material support, but more importantly demonstrating the love and power of Christ.
Care Portal
This platform allows local families with foster children, as well as families who have children at risk of foster care, to publicize their needs and for the local community to respond to those needs. In the past 18 months, CP has responded to 144 requests and served 343 children.  The economic impact of these requests was $166,585. For anyone looking to serve the local community, CP has a regular ongoing need for individuals to serve in a multitude of ways. (contact David Bennett if interested). (Service Opportunity).
Nashville Rescue Mission
Homelessness in the Greater Nashville area continues to weigh heavy on our hearts, as we highlighted the issue in the March 2025 Newsletter. The NRM has been providing hope to “the hungry, the homeless, and the hurting” in Nashville for 70 years! Every day, the NRM provides an average of 800 + men, women, and children a greater chance to thrive and break the cycle by
providing them with a safe environment, access to medical and mental health care, career education, job opportunities and substance use treatment. On the 1 st Monday of each month, a group of volunteers from Crosswalk serve food at the women’s
campus (contact Chris McDonald if interested). (Service Opportunity).
Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child
Together with the Children’s Ministry, our congregation packed and delivered 177 shoeboxes this year! Over 232 million shoeboxes have been delivered in past 30+ years; in 2024, almost 12 million shoeboxes delivered, 5.5 million children participated in the Greatest Journey (12 lesson course), and 3.2 million made decisions for Christ! (Service Opportunity).
Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition
They have a wide variety of volunteer needs including providing meals for their Rescue/Bible Study evenings on Monday and Wednesday evenings. (Service Opportunity).
Firewood Ministry
Men cut and split wood from nearby areas and deliver firewood to
those in need. (Service Opportunity).
Morning Pointe of Brentwood Assisted Living
Women’s Ministry is regularly involved in supporting this Assisted Living Center, spending time and talents with those who may feel
forgotten. See Kelly Wegner if interested. (Service Opportunity).
Food Drives
Crosswalk Church organizes regular food drives aimed at minimizing hunger, whether in Appalachia, Asheville NC, or Second Harvest Food Bank in the Greater Nashville area. (Service Opportunity).
